Melinda is a twenty-year-old college senior, currently studying English with Creative Writing emphasis at Western Washington University. She splits her time between the school dorm and her parents' home. In her spare time, she writes fanfiction, listens to boy bands and dorky 80's music, and reads anything she can get her hands on.
She has loved writing and inventing stories all her life (the plots she came up with while playing Barbies were epic) but she decided she wanted to be an author when she was fourteen, inspired by her then-favorite author Christopher Paolini. Her goal was to be published before she turned twenty, like Paolini, but unfortunately publishing (not to mention writing something publishable) ended up being harder than it looks. She is currently in the process of querying potential agents for her Book-World series.
